Wheel of Fortune
turning · luck · cycles · what comes around
The wheel turned. She had been standing on it the whole time.
The Wheel of Fortune, upright, on the day the Moon leaves Leo and Mercury meets Venus in Scorpio. The wheel in the frog's deck has a fly going up one side and a snail going down the other, and she stands on top because somebody has to, and today it is her. The card does not promise luck. It promises movement. Something that was stuck turns, something that was up comes down, and the wise response is not to grip the rim. Mars and Uranus are in a clean sextile, so the turn today is sudden and useful: an opening, an answer, a door that was painted shut. Watch for it in the afternoon. The frog's advice is the frog's usual advice, offered with slightly more urgency. Let it turn. Keep your feet. The view from the top of a wheel is excellent and brief, and the view from the bottom is also brief. The only permanent position is the one in the middle, holding the red star, and nobody lives there.
