Sign
Scorpio
October 23 - November 21 · water · ruled by Pluto, with Mars behind it
Scorpio knows. What you meant, what you hid, what you will do next. Intense, private, loyal to the end of the earth, and quietly keeping a list of who has earned that.
Character
A Scorpio does nothing halfway, including silence. They feel in extremes and show in fractions, and the gap between the two is where their reputation lives. The still surface is not calm. It is control.
They would rather know a hard truth than a soft lie, and they will find the truth whether you offer it or not. Do not try to manage a Scorpio. They have already read the manual you are using.
Strengths
Loyalty that survives everything short of betrayal. Focus that moves mountains one secret at a time. A Scorpio who has chosen you is a fact of nature - you can stop checking.
They see through people and, more rarely, through themselves, and when they do the transformation is total.
Weak spots
Trust is given once. Betrayal is remembered forever and avenged at leisure. A Scorpio can nurse a grudge into old age and introduce it to the grandchildren.
Control looks like strength and is often fear. The Scorpio who cannot let go of anything is being held by all of it.
Love
All or nothing, and nothing is not really on offer. Scorpio loves with a depth that frightens lighter signs and a possessiveness that frightens everyone. In return they give total presence - no one in the zodiac pays closer attention to the person in front of them.
Honesty is the price of admission. One lie, even a small one, and the door is a wall.
Work and money
Research, investigation, surgery, anything where you go deep and come back with the thing nobody else found. Scorpios are patient strategists who win long games while others celebrate short ones.
Money is power and privacy. A Scorpio's finances are nobody's business, including occasionally their own partner's.
Gets along with
Cancer and Pisces swim at the same depth. Virgo and Capricorn respect the discipline. Taurus, the opposite sign, is the immovable object to Scorpio's unstoppable force - and the only one who stays.
