Gemini and Virgo
Both ruled by Mercury. Gemini writes the first draft, Virgo returns it covered in red.
Together
The same planet rules both, and they use it in opposite ways. Gemini thinks wide: a hundred ideas, half of them good, all of them loud. Virgo thinks deep: one idea, checked six times, filed correctly. Each finds the other's mind impressive and exhausting within the same hour.
Air and earth, both mutable, both nervous underneath. Two anxious minds in one kitchen can be a comfort or a feedback loop, depending on who has slept.
Love
Talk is the bond. They can discuss anything, and they do, late into the night. But Virgo shows love by improving things, and Gemini hears improvement as a lecture. Gemini shows love by being delightful, and Virgo would, honestly, prefer the dishes done.

Witty and sharp. They are the two in the back row making the same joke under their breath.

Excellent on paper. Gemini generates, Virgo edits, and the product is clever and correct. In practice Virgo resents cleaning up after Gemini, and Gemini resents being cleaned up after.

Criticism and scatter. The more Gemini drifts, the more Virgo corrects. The more Virgo corrects, the further Gemini drifts.
