The general horoscope

Somewhere today a thermostat will be turned up, and within the hour somebody else will turn it down. Nobody will mention it. That is the sky in one small war. Venus, retrograde in Scorpio, tightens her square with Pluto, exact by tomorrow, and the old question of who decides comes back in the smallest rooms: the shared fridge, the group chat, the playlist in the car. The Moon has just passed over Pluto in Aquarius and opposes Mars, so tempers rise quickly and the reasons stay thin. Mercury leans into its square with Jupiter, and every complaint wants to become a speech. None of this needs a speech. A Monday this charged is best handled the way the thermostat should be handled, by asking once, out loud, what everyone can live with, and then leaving the dial alone. Control is tiring to hold. Most people put it down the moment they notice they are holding it. The frog keeps her pond at whatever temperature the morning brings, and has never once won an argument with a cloud.
