The general horoscope

Every tug-of-war has the same ending. Someone lets go, and the other side sits down hard in the grass. Today Venus, retrograde in Scorpio, squares Pluto to the degree, and the rope that has been pulling at love, money and pride since early October reaches its tightest point. After today it slackens. The Moon in Aquarius squares Mercury almost exactly and opposes Jupiter, so words come out bigger than the feeling behind them, and a small remark gets a large reply. Mercury keeps tightening its own square with Jupiter, and the urge to win the last sentence is strong. Let go of the rope first. Not because you are wrong, and not because they are right, but because whoever lets go keeps both hands free. The Sun trines the Moon by evening, and the afternoon is calmer than the morning. Save the hard talk for later in the week, if it still needs saying. From her lily pad the frog has seen plenty of contests. The winner always looks surprised, and a little muddy.
