The frog's week

A week for rereading. Venus turned retrograde in Scorpio on Saturday the 3rd, and she will walk backward for weeks, past old loves, old purchases and old arguments about what anything is worth. On Tuesday Mercury meets her exactly, and the past gets a vocabulary. Things you felt years ago find the sentence they were missing. Write it down, and wait before you send it. Wednesday brings Mars into an easy sextile with Uranus, a good day to change a routine you have outgrown, a small one, the route to work or the hour you wake. Saturday is the turn. Venus squares Mars exactly. The same day the new Moon arrives in Libra, and desire and duty stand in the same doorway. The new Moon is quiet, it shows nothing, it only clears the table. So clear one. By Sunday the Moon has gone down into Scorpio to join the others, and the week ends where it began, with a box of old things on the floor and a choice about which ones to keep. The frog suggests keeping fewer than you think.
